A year of transformation and growth

2025 was a year of intensive development. In this summary, we focus on three key areas that shaped the future of eFaktura.nl: technology, knowledge, and community.

TECHNOLOGY
How we support entrepreneurs in a changing environment

Over the past year, eFaktura.nl took several major steps toward the future — and we’re proud that each improvement was a direct response to the evolving needs of entrepreneurs. New fiscal requirements for business administration became an opportunity for us to strengthen support for our users.

Key changes in 2025:

Introduced the XML digital invoice format (DE/NL/EU-compliant),
Became an official Peppol Access Point,
Launched BUKKI – a new in-app feature for job offers and business networking, helping users find new projects and subcontractors,
Rolled out a completely redesigned UX/UI for improved usability:
– Streamlined invoice creation and client onboarding,
– Completely rebuilt the Mileage Log feature,
– Added new statistics dashboards, a redesigned homepage, and a clearer pricing structure.

We also introduced automated cost booking in the eFaktura Accountant panel – a real time-saver for accounting professionals.

KNOWLEDGE
How we stay ahead of change and help others adapt

Digital transformation in taxation and accounting is no longer a trend — it’s a reality. That’s why in 2025, we focused on creating meaningful opportunities to gain and share knowledge.

We launched a full-scale educational campaign, “Ready for Peppol”, in Belgium, which included:

An on-site training session for entrepreneurs in Mechelen,
A webinar with a Belgian digitalization expert,
Dedicated articles and a free eBook,
Media outreach across Belgian platforms.

In the Netherlands, we hosted a series of educational webinars for entrepreneurs and organized three expert-led training sessions for our partner accounting firms, featuring specialists Heleen Elbert and Carola van Vilsteren.

We also hosted the 4th edition of the “Masters of Accounting” — a key annual event for the accounting industry — with exclusive masterclasses by Heleen Elbert and Paweł Pilarczyk.

In addition, we created video tutorials, published 13 new articles on tax-related topics, and stayed up to date with global trends during Web Summit Lisbon.

COMMUNITY
Why eFaktura.nl is more than just an app

Behind every invoice is a person — with experience, skills, and hard work. That’s why our goal has always been to ensure that technology serves people — not the other way around.

In 2025, we expanded our efforts beyond the platform:

Together with Buduj.nl, we organized the first Construction Industry Picnic — a celebration of craftsmanship and connection within the sector.
We were also proud sponsors of the Healthy Day by Ann event, which brought together a large community in Amsterdam, featuring wellness and fitness activities with international guests.

We also launched initiatives within the corporate social responsibility space:

Introduced eFaktura.nl for NGOs — a program that provides nonprofit organizations with permanent, free access to our professional administration tools,
Supported various community and cultural initiatives across the Netherlands and beyond.

2025 was a milestone year for eFaktura.nl.
We introduced key features to support entrepreneurs and adapt to new tax regulations. We shared knowledge through webinars, training, and publications, and we strengthened our community by engaging in industry and social initiatives. It was a year of meaningful growth.
