DIGITAL REVOLUTION IN INVOICING
A European network that automates administration.
What is Peppol?
Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) is a European network for securely exchanging e-invoices in a standardized UBL (Universal Business Language) format. It’s one of the key elements of the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) plan.
In practice, this means complete digitization of B2B invoicing, with the ability to automatically send and read accounting data — regardless of country or system.
Join Peppol with the new invoicing standard.
What is e-invoicing?
E-invoicing is the process of issuing, sending, and receiving invoices in fully digital form — using a standardized format that enables automatic processing by accounting systems. Unlike PDF or paper invoices, e-invoices (e.g. in BIS 3.0/UBL format) contain data in a structured format, making it easier to verify, book, and report.
E-invoicing is a key element in digitizing administration and combating VAT fraud across Europe.
TIME FOR E-INVOICES
Peppol means new obligations for businesses
A spreadsheet or PDF invoice sent by email is not enough to use Peppol.
You need a tool that enables:

Creating invoices in BIS 3.0/UBL format.

Securely sending invoices via the Peppol network.

Compliance with legal and digital standards.
ALL IN ONE PLACE
With eFaktura.nl, you’re one step ahead
The eFaktura.nl app is fully integrated with the Peppol network and meets the new e-invoicing standards for entrepreneurs in Belgium.
How does it work?
The Peppol 4-corner model
Invoice sender
1
Sender’s access point
2
Invoice recipient
4
Recipient’s access point
3
- The sender creates the invoice in the eFaktura.nl app.
- eFaktura.nl sends the invoice in the correct format (XML/UBL) to the Peppol network.
- The invoice is delivered to the recipient’s access point, which forwards it.
- The recipient receives it directly in their system — no manual data entry needed.
The entire process is automated, fast, and compliant with European standards.
Receive e-invoices as easily as you send them
Thanks to Peppol integration, eFaktura.nl lets you not only send but also receive e-invoices addressed to your company. When a partner sends you an invoice via Peppol, you’ll get an email notification and the invoice will appear automatically under the “Expenses” tab.
With the built-in converter, the invoice contents are clearly readable — no extra steps required.
How to connect to the Peppol network the easiest way?
In eFaktura.nl, you don’t need an external provider or extra contracts. Peppol is built into the app, and the entire process is automated and secure.
Access to Peppol in eFaktura.nl is included in every paid plan — at no extra cost.
One-time identity verification
Just submit an ID document (ID card, passport, or driver’s license), take a photo, and the data will be automatically checked with KBO and the VIES database.
