Income Calculator for Freelancers (ZZP) in the Netherland
How to use the ZZP income calculator?
To calculate your net income as a ZZP in the Netherlands, follow these steps:
- Select the tax year – it’s set to the current year by default, but you can change it if you need calculations for a different year.
- Enter your average hourly rate (excluding VAT) – input how much you earn per hour, not including VAT.
- Enter the number of billable hours per year.
- Add any additional income sources – input the total annual amount (excluding VAT).
- Enter your annual business expenses (excluding VAT) – include expenses related to your business, e.g. equipment, office, insurance, car.
- Check whether you meet the hourly criterion (1225 hours/year) – if yes, the calculator will include applicable tax deductions.
- Check if you qualify for the start-up deduction – if you’re a new ZZP and eligible for the startersaftrek, tick this option.
- Click “CALCULATE” – the calculator will show your disposable income after deducting taxes and contributions.
“Your disposable income” is the real amount you’ll keep after all deductions.
